OUR NURSES' WORK DESCRIPTION
We provide care by qualified
secondary medical school graduates. When choosing our staff, we
consider the nurse's previous experience and practice. Nurses
delegated to families are well-orientated in paediatrics, know the
children's first aid principles and injury prevention. Our nurses
are skilled in child care.
Our nurses provide comprehensive child care:
food - feeding, or food preparation,
hygiene - changing, bathing, etc.,
external activities - accompanying to swimming or exercise lessons,
clubs, free-time classes, etc.,
walks, games, skill acquisition stimulation,
preservation of the child's daily routine,
adjustment to the family's customs and routines,
encouragement of the child's physical and psychic health,
assistance to the child's psychomotor development,
illness prevention and development of healthy lifestyle habits,
visits to the paediatrician,
care for ill children - administering medicines and observation of
the physician's instructions, resting regimen supervision - all this
to such an extent of care which can be given at home,
tidying to the extent of her work.
!!! - Cleaning up the household, ironing, shopping, etc. are not the
nurse's job. Such activities could impair the nurse's attention to
the child, and threaten the child's security. Such work is not
adequate to the qualification and expertise required from our nurses.
NURSE ELIGIBILITY
The choice of our nurses is primarily conditioned by their
education.
All our nurses are required to present:
a proof of received education - successful graduation from at least a secondary
medical school;
a proof of professional working experience - reference from the last or current
occupation;
a proof of probity - a statement of criminal records no older than three months;
a brief curriculum vitae;
any other proofs of received education and work references.
Furthermore, all nurses are required to:
pass a test of knowledge in paediatrics and child aid drawn by the Agency;
pass a motivation questionnaire, aimed at her motivation for this job, relation
to children, behaviour, role in the child's family, etc., consulted with a
psychologist;
let us know her hobbies and other skills - musical instruments, languages,
driving, experience with leading children's camps, free-time classes, etc.
