QUALIFIED CARE
The nurse mostly attends to
the child at his or her home.
Therefore, it is essential for the parent to explain to the nurse
what kinds of items she is going to need for her work (appliances,
clothing, food, cosmetics, medicines, diapers, etc.) and where they
are stored.
It is convenient to make all the items ready so that the nurse need
not search for anything. (Please remember the thermometer and the
child's Health Card.)
- It is always the most convenient for the child to be in his or her
own environment with own toys, where he or she knows it the best and,
above all, feels secure.
- If the child is not used to being attended by a nurse, it is
absolutely inappropriate to load it with the burden of a new
environment.
Child care at the nurse's home is also normal, such a household
being customised to the child's needs - the bed, sanitary facilities,
play room, quiet environment, tidiness, minimal allergens (pets etc.).
In such cases, the initial meeting takes place at the nurse's home,
whereby the parents have the chance to familiarise with the child's
new environment.
The child can be taken to the nurse's home and back either by the
parent or by the nurse - it all depends on the agreement and the
parents' demands.
The billing time always commences at the point of the nurse
accepting the child into her care.
The cost of taking the child to the nurse's home and back is paid
for by the parent upon the proper care billing- also if the nurse
accompanies the child to clubs, free-time classes etc., or
transports the child to the parent's place of work, to a different
flat, etc.
